The Rules

1. The maximum number of people in each team at any one time is 30.  Offshore team members can be from both day and night shifts.
2. Each person registering with their team captains to take part is kindly requested to make every effort to raise a minimum of £40.00 either through sponsorship or by making a donation.
3. Each team must have at least one team captain.  Offshore teams should ideally recruit two to cover day and night shifts.  Suggested persons for team captains are offshore medics or onshore Health and Safety Managers.
4. Miles completed by registered team members either by cycling, walking, running or jogging at any point during the thirty days of the challenge can count towards the team total. 
5. Team members can engage in any activity chosen from cycling, walking, running or jogging or combination thereof as they wish.
6. Each team member is responsible for recording the number of miles they complete each day and by which means (cycling, walking, running or jogging).
4. Every appointed team captain must submit the full name of the team member who completed the most miles along with the number of miles they completed at the end of the challenge.
5. Each team captain must complete a registration form via the website. 
6. Each team member will be responsible for recording the distance they complete each day of the challenge on the record sheet provided.  All distances recorded will be in miles.
7. Each team captain will be responsible for recording the mileage at regular intervals (suggestion is once a day) on the website using the log in and password they set at the time of registering.  If there are any problems with this please email us at challenge@cornerstone.org.uk.
8. Each participant can choose which gear to put the bike in when they are cycling.
9. The winning onshore and offshore team will be the one who has recorded the furthest distance  over the set 30-day period.  There will be an award ceremony in  October where trophies and certificates will be presented.
10. The distance recorded each day must be have been completed  by team members only, with no assistance by any means including mechanical devices.  If any team member is found cheating in any manner then the entire team will be eliminated from the challenge.
11. The visual update on the website will be closed down at 9.00am on Monday 26th September.  Between 9.00am and the end of the challenge (which is midnight on Friday 30th September) teams will still record their miles as usual. The winning teams offshore and onshore will be announced at the awards ceremony.  No correspondence will be entered into regarding the winning teams and the organizer's decision will be final.
14. Cornerstone accepts no responsibility or liability for injury or accident to any of the participants during the Cornerstone Challenge.
