Emma is a 47 year old lady with a severe learning disability, epilepsy and challenging behaviour.
Emma lived in a hospital since infancy however with Cornerstone’s support she moved to her own home two years ago. Many years in an institution meant that we needed to support Emma to develop community awareness and help her become a valued member of her community by accessing local shops and facilities. Cornerstone has also supported Emma to acquire a wheel chair adapted car, which enables her to visit new places and try out different activities.
Her life has turned around and her medication has now been significantly reduced.
